What Is An Asbestos Refurbishment Survey?

During this survey, asbestos surveyors perform thorough inspections and collect samples from materials suspected of containing asbestos. A UKAS accredited laboratory then analyzes these samples to confirm the presence of asbestos. 

After testing is complete, you will receive a asbestos report. This report will identify the locations of asbestos, describe its condition, and specify its type.

Refurbishment surveys are different from management surveys and demolition surveys. Management surveys identify and manage ACMs in buildings where materials are less likely to be disturbed. Demolition surveys are required before tearing down any building. In contrast, refurbishment surveys focus solely on areas scheduled for renovation.
