WHAT IS AN Asbestos
REINSPECTION SURVEY?
A re-inspection asbestos survey is an important part Regulation 4 The Duty To Manage Asbestos. This regulation is part of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
The re-inspection asbestos survey will check if previously located asbestos containing materials have degraded over time and assess if they pose a higher risk to health than when previously inspected. The inspection will also advise on changes in regulations and bring you property safety file up to date with regards to asbestos.
Typically asbestos re-inspections are carried out annually for most asbestos materials and risk categories. However, if areas contain potentially hazardous asbestos materials and are prone to damage may require more frequent inspections. This is determined within the sites Asbestos Management Plan (AMP) following the initial asbestos survey.
