ASBESTOS SURVEYING FOR THE NHS

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Asbestos Audit Ltd have just completed a large scale refurbishment asbestos survey for a project at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS.

The works consisted primarily of the inspection of cable routes prior to new HV and IT Data cables being installed within ceiling voids throughout a number of hospitals. The works involved entering sensitive areas and ensuring no disturbance was undertaken in various areas.

The team worked alongside the NHS representative to ensure all required areas were fully and intrusively inspected.

Where asbestos was located in locations that would prove difficult to remove the team located new routes through the buildings to reduce possible disturbance of the asbestos products during the upcoming works.

Over the past 11 years the Asbestos Audit Ltd team of asbestos surveyors and consultants have been assisting the NHS with the day to day management of asbestos within the trust. This ranges from auditing of the Asbestos Management Plan to surveys for asbestos to asbestos removal works where required.
