PROJECT OVERVIEW

Working closely with one of the North Easts well known house builders Asbestos Audit Ltd has been providing a range of services for dealing with contaminated soils containing asbestos alongside other contaminants.

Asbestos Audit was involved from the first day on site undertaking the site investigation. The brownfield site contained a number of challenging environmental issues. Boreholes and trail pits were used to examine the ground and identify areas of concern. Following the identification of a number of areas of contamination, Asbestos Audit Ltd created a full remediation plan and associated methodology to allow the materials to be safely managed, moved and altered on site without risk or spread to nearby areas.

Our team assisted the client throughout the works to ensure they were fully in line with the planning, health and safety, environmental and asbestos guidance and legislation. The site was fully completed and signed off by the local authority and independent H&S consultants.

All works undertaken to CAR2012 and the CL:aire asbestos CAR-SOILS guidance.
