ASBESTOS SURVEY IN NEWCASTLE FOR A COMMERCIAL PROPERTY

Asbestos Audit Ltd has won the contract to undertake re-inspection asbestos surveys and new refurbishment asbestos surveys for a major UK retail store chain.

The contract will be starting in the coming weeks and includes a large store in the centre of Newcastle and smaller store in Sunderland.

The works are required in order to keep the client in line with the current Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and up to date with all current requirements. Under the current asbestos regulations anyone deemed as the Duty Holder has a legal duty to protect their workforce and visitors entering the building.

In this case asbestos surveys on the site were older than the last regulation changes and as such a re-inspection survey was undertaken alongside the refurbishment survey of the specific work area.

With an ageing asbestos register and a number of years since their last re-inspection Asbestos Audit has been brought in to update and renew where required prior to major refurbishment in some stores.
