PROJECT OVERVIEW - DURHAM ASBESTOS SURVEY

The Asbestos Audit Ltd survey teams have recently completed a large scale industrial and commercial demolition survey for one of our Durham based clients.

The survey consisted of 15 large industrial buildings previously use for large scale manufacturing on the outskirts of Durham.

The buildings were in a poor state of repair and the cost for refurbishment deemed to high for the subsequent rental income.

As a result demolition was planned and asbestos surveys were required. Asbestos Audit were approached to firstly advise on requirements and then undertake the full inspection for asbestos across the whole site.

Two teams of asbestos surveyors were deployed onto the site to fully and intrusively inspect and sample all areas.

The teams worked systematically through the buildings ensuring all areas were fully checked for asbestos.

Suitable samples were safely taken enabling the surveyors to build up a full picture of the asbestos present within the buildings.

Following on from the site works full asbestos report to HSG-264 were crated and provided to the demolition contractor to allow for safe removal of all asbestos containing materials.
